The Alden Wherry Kit

The Alden Wherry Kit is the economical and fun way to get into sliding seat rowing. The classic design uses the Oarmaster II rowing unit for a fast, maneuverable and stable boat. It can be quickly set up for double or single rowing. So you can row with a partner, take a friend as a passenger, or row by yourself.

Simple enough for the first time boat builder, the kit includes everything but the sandpaper and exterior paint. It requires approximately 50-60 hours to complete using simple hand tools. Owners of the Alden Wherry are justifiably proud of their work and we receive many photos of the completed boats. This is a great introduction to the sport of rowing.
